Haiti Relief - Refugee Camp in Cap-Haitien

How Is Y.E.S. Involved?

Louis Jean serves as the Vice-President for Y.E.S. Originally from Haiti, he plans trips to and oversees mission opportunities in Haiti. Louis, along with Eric Johnson, a construction specialist, recently traveled to Haiti to assess the situation.

Louis and Eric retrieved well-drilling equipment that Y.E.S had stored in the Dominican Republic and brought it to Cap-Haitien, Haiti.

Besides that, the primary purpose of the trip was to coordinate the setting up of a refugee camp in partnership with a group of evangelical churches belonging to the International Christian Fellowship of Churches (ICFC), a ministry of Y.E.S.

The camp is near the property of some of the evangelical churches in Cap-Haitien, a city north of the capital, Port-au-Prince. Many of the Haitian people are leaving the capital in search of help in this area. A few of the pastors in this area have previous experience drilling wells and will be helping drill for water near the refugee camp areas. This will allow them to also minister to the people spiritually.

How Can You Partner?

Y.E.S. is setting up a special relief fund for the refugee camp and donations will be managed directly through the pastors who belong to or partner with Y.E.S.
