ABOUT:

Denise grew up in South Lake Tahoe, attended UC San Diego for her undergraduate degree, and then completed a Master's of Science in Chemical Engineering at UC Santa Barbara. Denise was working in her doctorate in engineering when she felt called to change tracks and enroll in seminary. She will graduate in June of 2009 with her Master's of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary, at which point she hopes to begin a position in full-time ministry. Prior to beginning her current ministry, Denise worked as a college ministry intern.

MINISTRY

Denise works primarily with Community Covenant Church in Goleta, where her main responsibilities include community outreach and small group development. One of her principal goals is to help those in the church better engage the community by meeting felt needs. She is eager to see Christians using their gifts to transform and empower the communities in which they live. She is also using this time to develop her ministry and leadership skills as she prepares for a pastoral ministry role after graduation.
