ABOUT

Rev. Chia-Hung Hsu is currently residing in Sydney, Australia. He pastors the new growing church of EFC Maroubra. He was the previous Mandarin pastor at EFC Alhambra in California for 8 years. In 1990, he moved to New Zealand and his two children were born there. Chia-Hung Hsu felt God's calling for him to go to Logos Seminary School to study in California. He and his wife Sherry now serve together at EFC Maroubra.

MINISTRY

Rev. Chia-Hung was sent by his previous church, EFC Alhambra to begin and lead a new church in Matraville. Rev. Hsu's main purpose is to build up this church. Rev. Hsu focuses on helping mandarin speakers and families who are new to the country and overseas students he wishes to care for and bring to the Lord, especially focusing on student ministries with those who attend University of New South Wales. Currently we have services every Saturday afternoon and the average attendance for this growing church is approximately 45 people. We are currently renting the church from the United Church here in Maroubra. EFC Maroubra currently has 3 small groups: young adults, college students, and high school students, who meet once a week. There are many new youth who have joined these groups. We hope to become an independent church in 3 year's time.
