Bernie is an ordained pastor and founder of Y.E.S. Both serve on the Y.E.S. Board. The LaTours serve as short-term missions trip leaders, provide project guidance to missionaries and pastors as they start new churches, and provide oversight and training for vacation Bible schools in Venezuela and Mexico. Bernie has begun a training program for new pastors in Venezuela in partnership with the Rio Grand Bible Institute, which is located in TX. They currently live in St. Cloud, FL.
